I work with individuals with developmental disabilities and I absolutely love it. I currently direct a bell choir consisting of adults with Down syndrome. We recently made our national debut on The Today Show. I am in grad school for music therapy and I am a compose folk songs. I am studying the neurological benefits of music for individuals with developmental disabilities. I plan to pursue a doctorate in neuropsychology but music is my first love. I'm also a Christian and the work that I do is inspired by my faith, as well as, writers like. Jean. Vanier, Henri Nouwen, CS Lewis and Lonergan but I am NOT a fan of contemporary Christian music. I like traditional Irish music, jazz and folk.

I am a natural, down to earth, creative person. I love nature and animals. Being out in the open air is great and I camp a lot, particularly when at festivals which I am lucky enough to perform in. I am in a band and I sing and play the Bodhran ( Irish drum). I play a little guitar and am learning the didgeridoo! I have two wonderful teenage children who, fortunately for me, enjoy festivals too! I have an empathic nature and I am a good listener too. I love to have a giggle and humour is very important to me. I have worked in the Health and Social Care field all my life, though am currently a homemaker and about to undertake voluntary work. I enjoy painting in acrylics, mainly modern and impressionist styles. I have many friends and my ideal evening would be spent sitting round the table with a bottle of wine, having a giggle and sing song!!!
